With her approach, very little fancy equipment or special products are required, making it a very approachable book for beginners and unfussy cooks. Unfussy doesn’t mean boring, by any means, if you know anything about Roman’s work. Recipes include the delectable-sounding Caramelized Maple Tart, Raspberries and Sour Cream, and the old-fashioned classic Lemon Shaker Pie. Many recipes you prepare quite quickly, taking away the stigma that baking requires a lot of time and effort.
