He’s already written several best-selling cookbooks, but his latest one has a focus that will appeal to singles, small households or anyone who doesn’t want to bake enough treats for a crowd. Small Batch Bakes (Kyle Books, 2022) is a collection of Edd Kimber recipes that serve one, two, four or six, so you don’t have to be faced with the dilemma of what to do with those unwanted leftovers. Recipes that caught our eye include One Egg Pavlova for Two; Caramelized Banana Pudding; Sweet and Salty Chocolate Cake; and Biscoff-Studded Brownies. Edd also includes some very enticing savory recipes in this book, such as Spiced Cheddar Cornbread Muffins; Cheese-Stuffed Garlic Flatbreads; and Everything Bagel Morning Buns. So even if you’re not a singleton, we recommend this book highly, because in our book, Edd Kimber is a baking genius.
